RADx 1: Juntos (Together)

A community led approach to enhance to Covid-19 testing among vulnerable Latinos Building on Needle Exchange to Optimize HIV Prevention/Treatment

We implemented a community-based COVID-19 testing and vaccination strategy tailored to the needs of limited English proficiency Latinos. The intervention included testing and vaccination, a bilingual COVID-19 hotline, a social marketing campaign, and the support of peer health navigators to facilitate access to tests, results, and linkage to other services.

RADx 2: Sin Duda

A community-driven approach to expand reach, access and uptake of COVID-19 home-based tests for at risk Latinos

In this project, we are expanding distribution of home-based COVID-19 tests in the Latino community leveraging social marketing and crowdsourcing methods, social networks, mHealth, and warm support and linkage to care from community workers

Covid-19 vaccination

HSCRC (Health Services Cost Review Commission) Community Vaccination Program

In collaboration with the Maryland Department of Health and the Johns Hopkins Health System, we have implemented mobile vaccination clinics at community sites.

Over 30,000 doses have been administered through this initiative, primarily to low income at risk individuals.

REDES

A peer network and mobile health (mHealth) enhanced CHW model to maximize COVID-19 vaccination among low income Latinos

This project tests the efficacy of a combination intervention REDES - a social network and mobile health (mHealth) enhanced community health worker (CHW) intervention - to address COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and improve uptake among Latinos in Maryland.
